We attended two weddings last Saturday. One was Will's, my right hand guy at work, and one was the ever-lovable JP, guitarist of the NFU fame. Will’s wedding was at the San Gabriel mission, which is an old and beautiful church in San Gabriel. The ceremonies were held at the Express Pavilion in Chinatown… great food and beautiful décor. Annie, Will’s wife, looked lovely. We jammed over to JP’s wedding next. We didn’t think that it would happen but JP’s cousin Mark got us up on stage to play a couple of songs. The songs that we played went over really well. We were asked to do more but we didn’t. I don’t think the band wanted us up there because the crowd really warmed up to us. Unfortunately, the crowd didn’t warm up to the hired band.

Hard to believe that these two guys are now married! Best of luck to you both!

I’ll be posting pictures from our Carlsbad gig as well as the weddings this week. So, keep checking the website!

What a show, what a show, what a show!!! I think we topped ourselves this time. Five hours of kick ass rock and roll and 54 songs in the list. I can’t believe I was able to memorize all these songs. Yes, we packed the place yet again and had lines of people waiting to come in. I have never had so many people come and ask me for requests or to ask if their boyfriend/friend can play with us. Gorgeous girls, good-looking guys, and us: you know there will be trouble! Gary and me stuck to our pledge and drank very little before the show and during the fist 3 sets. We let loose after the 4th set. I still didn’t drink much, although I may have looked it. People just don’t understand how hard it is to sing and play guitar at the intensity that we were playing. Imagine what it might be like to play an instrument while holding your breath. That’s the best description that I can use to explain what it’s like. At night, my throat was in shreds and my body all bruised up… but I DON’T CARE BECAUE IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! And friends who had not seen us play before, never expected what they saw. All in all, a fun energetic night.

Gary really kept it together and followed my unpredictable cues perfectly. Jerry did a hell of a job considering how drunk he was. He was already tanked before we started to play. This from a guy who said that he wasn’t going to drink AT ALL during the show!

We had a bunch of guest musicians including, Jean Paul and Brett on guitars, Tim on drums, Armen P. on the harmonica and vocals, and all the hot girls who wanted to come on stage and play the tambourine with us J

Our next target is Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas. Watch out Calabasas… Here we come…

Well, folks… The gig of all gigs is approaching… The band is READY. With the variety of songs that we have, there’s something for everyone. OK, almost everyone. There are always the usual worries: will the sound be OK? Will someone’s equipment give out? Will I remember all lyrics? Will I remember all the guitar parts? And on and on…

What’s better than going to a bachelor party in Vegas? Going to TWO bachelor parties in Vegas. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do this weekend. Actually, this will be two consecutive weekends in Vegas. Incidentally, the two dudes that are having their bachelor parties in Vegas are also having their wedding on the same day! I will have to leave one wedding at one point to go to the other. That kind of suck…

I will be posting some new pictures soon. Be sure to checkout the pictures link!

Two more weeks to Carlsbad and counting… We are sounding GOOD!
