I’m stuck home with a cold… Man I hate colds! When I get a cold, I get a bad one. It’s that runny nose that feels like liquid ammonia burning through my nostrils. It’s that inflamed nose from blowing too much. It’s that phlegm that accumulates at the back of your throat. It’s the stuffed up ears and head. It’s that sneezing that sprays germs all over. It’s that itchy feeling in your nose and throat. It’s feeling weak and useless. It’s those chapped lips. It’s that cough that won’t stop. It’s the medication that you have to take. The chicken sup you have to drink. It’s that woozy feeling in your head. I hate it colds…

I was thinking back to the last 15 years of my life and I seem to recall many interesting adventures that involved alcohol – some good and some not so good. Then I realized that there are so many colorful words that describe the state of drunkenness. Here’s a summary of what I have:

Drunk, ripped, sauced, blitzed, sloshed, hammered, inebriated, intoxicated, under the influence, fucked up, smashed, plastered, thrashed, shit-faced, juiced, wasted, gone, annihilated, tossed, and blasted.

Did I miss anything?

Sagebrush gig update: we’re being given the run-around with Sagebrush as with any other club/bar. We have to call “next week” every week. Details will be posted on this site as soon as we have some detail.

I guess it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here!

First of all, I want to wish a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all. Every year seems to go by faster. 2003 was a whirlwind of a year for me. Is this a sing of old age? However, there was a lot of excitement this year, both good and bad. Some of these events include:

- Birth of my nephew Anthony
- Birth of my cousin Ani’s daughter, Leanna
- Birth of Armen and Natalie’s daughter Ani
- Aylin going back to school again
- Getting our Kitty (Midori)
- Graduating from USC and obtaining my MBA degree
- Hanging out with the G Man at Venice
- Seeing Garrison White play once again days before his passing
- Playing one of our best shows ever at Carlsbad
- Finally writing a new song! (“Always”)
- Coming up with many ideas for short stories

Odd, but for the first time ever, I couldn’t think of any resolutions…

Aylin and I treated ourselves to some nice presents for the first time in years. We finally got ourselves a digital camera to get with the times and we also purchased a nice office desk and set up.

Sagebrush update: the owner of Sagebrush asked us to talk to him after the Holidays, which means this is the time. I’m waiting to hear back from Jerry.
