I’m a little behind on my updates!

Our trip to Plano/Dallas was a lot of fun. It was great to see our friends Alek and Liz. They devoted their entire 4th of July weekend to showing us around town, which we greatly appreciated. We found the whole area fascinating – a place where the old and the new come together. Plano is growing rapidly and the real estate market is a buyer’s market. $300,000 can buy a mansion in Plano! Commercial buildings are showing up all over the area and the designs of these buildings are nothing short of fantastic. The BBQ restaurants were awesome. We loved Dallas-Forth Worth and the Stockyards! What a different world from Los Angeles. We went to a rodeo show, then to the famous White Elephant bar/saloon for a few drinks, and then to the renowned Cattleman’s steakhouse.
We also visited the site of Kennedy’s assassination, which was kind of weird…
All in all, our trip was loads of fun and excitement. The only thing I didn’t like about our trip was the weather – hot and humid. I couldn’t deal with it well, although Aylin seemingly adjusted well.

Check out the pictures from our trip that I recently posted.
